The Country Club Hills Theater Jazz Fest stars the great Ramsey Lewis, Gerald Albright, Selina Albright, Peter White and Vincent Ingala in a night of jazz music improvisation!

Three-time Grammy winner Ramsey Lewis is a native of Chicago. He took piano lessons when he was 4. At 15, he joined the jazz band The Clefs. He then formed his group the Ramsey Lewis Trio. The trio hit the charts with the 1965 hit “The In Crowd.” Lewis followed up with the smash hits “Hang on Sloopy” and “Wade in the Water.” He has since recorded with Kurt Elling, Chick Corea, Tony Bennett, and dozens of other music stars.

Saxophonist Gerald Albright has played with such stars as Whitney Houston, Phil Collins, Anita Baker and many others. Vocalist Selina Albright, daughter of Gerald, grew up around the likes of Tina Turner and Ella Fitzgerald. Her R & B CD, “Conversations,” was released in March. Guitarist Peter White is known or his jazz fusion style. Tenor Sax player Vincent Ingala’s album “Coast to Coast,” was number 12 on the Billboard Jazz Albums List.
