Summer of Love Concert

Come to the Dorothy Menker Theatre at Moraine Valley Community College to see “The Summer of Love” concert September 23, and stay at the nearby and affordable Motel 6 Chicago Hotel in Alsip!

Glen Burtnik, alumnus of Styx and the original “Beatlemania,” brings you the “Summer of Love Concert,” a tribute to the iconic rock music from the period of time generally between the 1967 release of The Beatles revolutionary album “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band” and the famous Woodstock Music and Art Festival in 1969. Joined by 12 performers including a horn section, strings, keyboardists, percussionists, background vocalists and an incredible rock rhythm section, the Summer of Love experience recreates “note for note and absolutely live” the songs, and the psychedelically flavored spirit, of the Woodstock Generation.

Glen Burtnik is currently a member of The Orchestra, an offshoot band of the Electric Light Orchestra. He has written hit songs for Randy Travis, Patty Smyth and Don Henley. He appeared in the Broadway production of “Beatlemania,” playing Paul McCartney.

The Dorothy Menker Theatre at Moraine Valley Community College is located at 9000 West College Parkway in Palos Hills. For tickets to see “The Summer of Love,” go online to and follow the prompts.
